In line with our Enhanced Leadership Program, we had our talk with our former Dean of Academics and now the Director of the Philippine National Police Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development, PBGEN Jon A Arnaldo which was held at the PNPA Cadet Messhall. The main function of the Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development is to formulate training programs and directives necessary to attain the professionalization of PNP personnel and the operational readiness of PNP units[1] and to assist the Chief, PNP in formulating policies and managing all matters pertaining to human resource and doctrine development.

 

 In our talk with PBGEN Arnaldo, he gave emphasis on the individual training and program development of the uniformed personnel in the Philippine National Police and encourages us to invest in the improvement of ourselves as future Public Safety Officers. We must hone our skills and absorb adequate knowledge for us to be prepared in facing the real battle outside the academy since months from now we will be deployed as law enforcers in our assigned units in the Philippine National Police. He enlightened us with regard to what specialized courses we need to undergo for us to promote to the next higher rank and gave us advice and ideas on how to select appropriate courses in line with what unit and specialization we wanted to pursue in our career as police officers.

 

Our time with PBGEN Arnaldo was indeed a privilege for us graduating cadets since all our questions and queries were acknowledged and answered and this opportunity was not possible without the initiative of our Acting Director PBGEN Eric Escosio Noble. Our Director also suggest to PBGEN Arnaldo that we should undergo a Chief of Police Course and this should be given accreditation for us to be capable and competent to hold a station when we deploy as chief of police of certain municipalities and areas. This effort of our Director is certainly an act of concern and dedication to us graduating cadets which made us inspired and motivated to develop ourselves for us to be well-equipped to render service and enforce the law of the Philippine National Police in our country.
