The Cadet Corps Philippine National Police rendered Arrival Honors and Testimonial Parade and Review last September 23, 2022, in honor of our 28th Chief of the Philippine National Police, PGEN Rodolfo Santos Azurin Jr.[1] held at Camp General Mariano Castaneda, Silang, Cavite. After the parade, the Chief PNP allocated his time to have a talk with the cadets, from 1st class to 4th class to reiterate his Malasakit+Kaaayusan+Kapayapaan=Kaunlaran Thrust in response to the National Government's objective for a safer country. The Chief’s plan especially for the betterment of the police force and institution itself is dominant through his MKK=K thrust which is not just a program but a directive that all police and law enforcement officers are mandated to abide and follow.

 

In the speech of the Chief, PNP with the cadets, he put emphasis with regards to the avoidance of maltreatment and hazing cases happening inside the academy. this is connected to the ‘malasakit’ thrust we must prosper to our underclassmen and not resort to any maltreatment activity resulting in their suffering and agony. He made us understand that all of us have dreams and it is to graduate from this prestigious institution, to make our parents proud, and to be the chosen few who will be serving the people and the country. we must not be the person who will hinder our fellow in attaining their dreams in life. Thus, we must be their brother, helping one another because, in the field of service, the only help we can ask for is from our upperclassmen and underclassmen who had the same path taken and molded by our dearest institution.

 

As a first-class cadet, I support the Malasakit+Kaaayusan+Kapayapaan=Kaunlaran Thrust of our Chief PNP. I will use my authority as one of the ruling class of the cadet corps to be a catalyst of change and be an advocate for the mandate of the anti-hazing law which our institution hopes to achieve. We must commit ourselves to the change we want to attain for the improvement of our institution and for the nation.
