DAY ELEVEN OF CADET ATTACHMENT PROGRAM
The Philippine National Police is committed to its purpose of creating an involvement in the community particularly to the development and guidance of the youth in the society.
As a law enforcer serving as a role model to the younger generation, the organization must be in active participation in nurturing the well-being and life orientation of our youth in the community.
In line with this objective, the personnel of Santa Rosa City Police Station together with the Cadets from the Philippine National Police Academy took part in a youth engagement through feeding program at Brgy Sinalhan, Santa Rosa City.
One of the fundamental tenets of youth development is youth engagement. Youth are not merely passive beneficiaries of environmental effects rather, they actively participate in determining how they will develop by interacting with the people and opportunities offered in their environments. The community, especially the PNP can better provide the supports, opportunities, and services that young people require to grow up in healthy ways by involving youngsters in the process.
As police officers, we must see youth as the most crucial investment in the growth[1] and supremacy of our country. We must educate and indoctrinate them appropriately to keep them away from undesirable habits like using drugs or engaging in unlawful activity that might prevent them from becoming cultured and law-abiding citizens of the country. This activity ought to be the best practices used in every station to result in the development of positive relationships with our young, making the police a good role model for them to secure a better future for they are the future leaders of our nation.
