DAY FOUR OF CADET ATTACHMENT PROGRAM

PNPA CADETS IN RESPONSE MODE

On the fourth day of the Cadet Attachment Program, the Nine cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy immersed at Santa Rosa City Police Station were divided into two groups. One group remained at the station to observe and familiarize the different sections within the station and the other group was deployed to the different police station precincts in the locality.
Our group was deployed to the Blue light Police Precinct located along Old National Highway Brgy. Tagapo, City of Sta Rosa, Laguna. The Cadets conducted police visibility and presence at SM Santa Rosa to guarantee peace and order within the area and ensure the safety of Santa Rosa City mall goers. This activity was in line with the CPNP's Peace and Security Framework MKK=K and Revitalized PNP KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan) with the primary objective of providing confidence to the general public, especially places that are crime-prone areas.
In addition, the Cadets were also engaged in responding to a certain vehicular accident that transpired at Mamplasan Road, Binan, Laguna. The said accident was due to the loss of vehicle control[1], resulting in the collision with the street light. After the documentation, the persons involved were brought to the police station for proper disposition.

In conclusion, to provide efficient and effective public safety, the Philippine National Police should embrace PNP peace and security framework especially in responding to any criminalities and untoward incidents. The PNP should also be reactive to any report and concern of the general public for this is the role and purpose of our existence as Public Safety Officers.
